PoolIndex Accessibility Statement

Commitment

PoolIndex aims to make the website, the Windows application, and the Android application usable with zoom, screen readers, and other assistive technology, and with a keyboard where one is used. Engineering work targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA on the website and WCAG 2.2 Level AA in the Android application, for the criteria that apply, and takes account of Israeli Standard SI 5568. This statement is not a certification, legal opinion, or claim of full statutory compliance.

Scope of this statement

This statement covers the public website (landing, register, sign in, email verification, forgot/reset password, wallet check and results, link check, Deep Hunt, Windows download, account, privacy requests and account deletion, subscription page once Pro is available, Terms, Privacy, Accessibility, Safety rules, and related error pages), the Android application, and the Windows application. Known gaps are listed under Known limitations.

Features implemented on the website

Skip to main content; page language that matches the selected language; unique page titles; header, navigation, main, and footer landmarks; one primary heading per public page; keyboard access with a visible focus indicator; form fields with associated labels and instructions (not placeholders alone); errors that say what failed and what to do next, announced with status/alert; optional text-size and high-contrast display controls that do not replace the underlying site; reduced motion when the operating system requests it; and an accessibility support address.

Features implemented in the Android application

Bottom navigation with visible labels, where the current tab is announced to screen readers; focus moves to the heading of each new screen; buttons and form controls at least 48 by 48 dp; visible labels and hints on form fields; scan progress and results announced at milestones, not on every update; each result states its status in words, with an icon, never by color alone; warnings state their type and reason; text follows the phone's font size setting; light and dark themes follow the device, with contrast checked against WCAG AA in automated tests; reduced motion when the device requests it; swiping between tabs is optional and every action has a button.

Known limitations

Independent testing with every screen reader and browser combination is still outstanding. Manual keyboard and screen-reader testing of the main website flows (registration, email verification, password reset, wallet check, results, Deep Hunt, privacy requests and account deletion), and checks of contrast, zoom and status messages on those flows, have not yet been completed and documented. The Android application has not yet been tested end to end with TalkBack on physical devices, or at the largest system font sizes; that testing is planned before the store release. There is no iOS application yet. The UI can change. Dense tables in the desktop application can be harder with a screen reader. Windows SmartScreen and other operating-system dialogs are outside PoolIndex. Disabled controls may have lower contrast. The optional Accessibility button is extra display convenience; the site must remain usable without it. Deep Hunt progress in the desktop app is summarized rather than announced on every tick.

Online service only

PoolIndex is provided online only, through the website and the applications. There is no place where the public is received in person.

If something blocks you

If a barrier stops you from completing an action, write to accessibility@poolindex.app, name the page or screen and what you tried to do, and say how we can reach you. A privacy request, a request for a copy of your data, and account deletion can also be done by email, without the forms.
