Airdrop checker FAQ

Short answers to the questions people ask most about PoolIndex: what the airdrop checker looks at, how to read a result, how to stay safe, and what the free plan includes. Each answer describes what the app does today.

Checking a wallet

What is PoolIndex?
PoolIndex is an airdrop checker and wallet scanner for Windows and Android. You paste a public 0x wallet address, and it checks public airdrop lists, claim contracts and DeFi apps for that address, then shows what it found and how each result was checked.
Do I need to connect a wallet?
No. PoolIndex checks using your public wallet address only, the same address anyone can already see on the blockchain. It never asks for your seed phrase or private key.
Which networks does the airdrop checker cover?
Ethereum, Arbitrum One, Optimism, Base and Polygon for balances and tokens, plus specific airdrop and upgrade programs on Sonic and Fantom Opera. In its apps for Windows, Android and iPhone, PoolIndex also checks Solana addresses: SOL balance, stake accounts you can withdraw, rent in empty token accounts, and tokens.
Can I scan a Solana or Bitcoin address?
Solana: yes, in the PoolIndex apps for Windows, Android and iPhone. Bitcoin: no.
What is SOL left in a stake account?
When you stop staking, the SOL stays in the stake account until you withdraw it. PoolIndex lists stake accounts your address can withdraw from, with the amount and a link to Solana Explorer. You withdraw in your own wallet. PoolIndex never asks for keys.
Does scanning an address change anything on the blockchain?
No. A scan only reads public data. It doesn't send a transaction, doesn't cost a network fee and doesn't move any coins.
Can I use PoolIndex in a web browser?
No. This website is for download, registration and account access. Wallet checks and link checks run in the PoolIndex app on Windows and Android.

Airdrops and results

Does a result mean I will receive coins?
No. A result is a research lead with its evidence attached. Confirm it on the project's official site. Many airdrops have closed, and PoolIndex marks those as closed.
Why does a result link to an official source?
So you can confirm it yourself. Airdrop results link to the project's official source, and any claim is made by you, on that official site, in your own wallet.
What if nothing is found?
That is a normal result. It means none of the sources PoolIndex checked showed anything for that address at the time of the scan, and the list of checked sources is shown with it.
Can I still claim an airdrop from years ago?
Sometimes. Programs without a deadline, such as the 2020 UNI airdrop, can still be claimed by eligible addresses. Programs with a deadline, such as ENS and Arbitrum, cannot. PoolIndex shows which case applies.
Does PoolIndex move or claim coins for me?
No. PoolIndex doesn't automate claims. If you decide to claim something, you do it yourself, in your own wallet, after confirming on the official site.
Is a claim fee worth paying?
Only you can decide. Claiming costs a network fee. On Ethereum mainnet the fee can be larger than a small allocation, so compare the two before you claim.

Safety and privacy

Is it safe to paste a suspicious link into PoolIndex?
Yes. PoolIndex opens the page from its own server and reads it there. The page doesn't run on your device, and your wallet is not involved.
Does "safe to review" mean the site is safe?
No. It means the check found none of the signs it looks for. New scam pages appear every day, so always compare the domain with the project's official site before you do anything.
Someone says they can recover my unclaimed airdrop for a fee. Is that real?
Treat it as a scam. Nobody can claim an allocation for you without your wallet's keys, and nobody can reopen a program that has closed. Never pay or share your seed phrase to unlock an airdrop.
I lost my seed phrase. Can PoolIndex help me get into the wallet?
No. PoolIndex is not a recovery service and never asks for a seed phrase or private key. Without the recovery words, nobody can move coins from that wallet, including you.
Where does PoolIndex keep the address I check?
On your account, in your plan's wallet slot. Wallet checks run in the Windows and Android apps, on your device, and their results stay there. The website itself has no wallet check. Daily monitoring and Deep Hunt keep their results on the server. PoolIndex never asks for your seed phrase or private key.

Free plan and apps

Is the airdrop checker free?
Yes. After you register, the free plan includes 1 public wallet and 5 link checks a month, on Windows and Android.
How many links can I check?
The free plan includes 5 link checks a month after you register. They reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). If a page could not be read at all, the check is not counted.
Where do I get the app?
Get PoolIndex for Windows from the Microsoft Store, or the Android app from Google Play.
