Ethereum airdrop checker

Ethereum mainnet is where most of the well-known airdrops happened, from Uniswap's UNI in 2020 to the governance tokens that followed. PoolIndex checks a public Ethereum address against those programs and shows, for each one, whether the address had an allocation, whether it was claimed and whether the program is still open.

You only paste the public 0x address. PoolIndex never asks for your seed phrase or private key.

Ethereum airdrops PoolIndex checks per address

For these programs PoolIndex looks up your address in the official list or contract and checks whether the allocation was already claimed:

  • Uniswap (UNI), September 2020: 400 UNI for each eligible address, with no claim deadline. Millions of UNI from it are still unclaimed.
  • ENS: the claim window closed in May 2022. PoolIndex shows whether the address was eligible and that the window has closed.
  • CoW Protocol (vCOW): checked against the official allocation file and the vCOW balance.
  • dYdX: checked against the active claim root and the official claim tree.
  • Safe (SAFE): checked with the official allocations data and the vesting contract, including the amount vested so far.

How an Ethereum airdrop claim works

Most Ethereum airdrops use the same pattern. The project builds a list of eligible addresses and amounts, turns it into a Merkle tree, and stores only the tree's root in a claim contract. To claim, you send a transaction with a proof that your address and amount are in the tree. The contract then records the claim, so the same allocation can't be claimed twice.

This is why an allocation can wait for years: nothing moves until the owner sends that transaction. It is also why PoolIndex can check without your keys. The list, the root and the claimed flag are all public, so reading them only needs your public address.

Closed Ethereum airdrops, marked as closed

Several large airdrops have ended. PoolIndex keeps them in the check so you get a clear answer instead of a fake claim page: Hop (claim period ended December 2022), Gitcoin GTC (2021), Blur Season 1 (reclaim period passed April 2023), LooksRare, and LayerZero ZRO (claim window June 20 to September 20, 2024).

If a site offers to let you claim one of these today, treat it as a warning sign.

Old Ethereum DeFi rewards and positions

On Ethereum, forgotten value often sits in DeFi apps rather than in airdrops. PoolIndex checks accrued COMP in Compound, Aave staking and incentive rewards, Curve veCRV and liquidity positions, Convex rewards, Uniswap v2 and v3 liquidity positions, the Maker DSR, StakeDAO claims and pending Lido withdrawals.

It also checks leftover tokens such as UNI, LINK, ENS, AAVE, LDO, CRV, COMP, stETH, rETH and the receipt tokens of Aave, Compound and Yearn, and flags MKR that can be upgraded to SKY through the official converter.

Before you claim on Ethereum

Claiming on Ethereum mainnet costs a network fee paid in ETH. For a small allocation the fee can be larger than what you receive, so compare the two first. You can confirm any balance yourself on Etherscan by pasting the same public address.

Only open a claim page from the project's official site. Each airdrop result in PoolIndex links to its official source.

How it works

  1. Install PoolIndex.

Get PoolIndex for Windows from the Microsoft Store, or the Android app from Google Play.

  2. Register and verify your email.

The free plan lets you check 1 wallet and 5 links a month.

  3. Paste your Ethereum address.

The same 0x address is also checked on Arbitrum One, Optimism, Base and Polygon.

  4. Read the Ethereum results.

Each result shows the network and how it was checked. Airdrop results link to their official source, and closed programs are marked as closed.

PoolIndex never asks for your seed phrase or private key. You can check a public address without connecting a wallet.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still claim the Uniswap UNI airdrop?
The 2020 UNI airdrop has no claim deadline, so an eligible address that never claimed can still do so on Uniswap's official app. PoolIndex shows whether your address was eligible and whether it already claimed.
Which Ethereum airdrops are closed?
Among the programs PoolIndex covers: ENS, Hop, Gitcoin GTC, Blur Season 1, LooksRare and LayerZero ZRO. They are shown as closed, with their dates.
Do I need to connect a wallet?
No. PoolIndex checks using your public wallet address only, the same address anyone can already see on the blockchain. It never asks for your seed phrase or private key.
Does the Ethereum check also cover layer 2 networks?
Yes. The same 0x address is checked on Arbitrum One, Optimism, Base and Polygon in the same scan.
Do I need ETH to check my Ethereum address?
No. Checking only reads public data, so it costs nothing on the network. You need ETH only if you later decide to claim or move something on Ethereum mainnet.
How can I verify a result?
Open the official source linked in the result, and look up the address on Etherscan. Never enter a seed phrase or private key to verify anything.
